The Man who explains it all

The man behind ‘Man Who Has It All’ is an anonymous working dad. He dishes out tweets and books providing advice for men juggling a successful career and fatherhood. ‘The Man Who Has It All’ highlights issues with sexism making humor out of deep social problems. Join us as we speak to the Man behind the persona and how his clothing range has caused a storm!

It’s awesome to be speaking with the man himself and we have a lot we want to ask you! Would you be able to tell us a little more about what you do, for those that are new to The Man?

I help busy dads to have it all – glowing skin, healthy snacks, work outside the home and ‘me-time.’ I also address the big issues facing the world today, such as whether men can be funny, why they can’t park and whether they should smile more (yes, they should!). I mostly spread the advice via Twitter. I also have a number of books under my belt spreading the message of support to career men and busy working dads.

Awesome! Why did you decide the next step was to create a store?

I wanted to design and sell T-shirts but that was before I discovered TeeMill, it seemed too difficult. The product had to be good quality, organic, made in the UK and printed on demand.

I wanted to sell T-shirts I would wear myself. Then I found Teemill! Teemill is brilliant because they look after the print, shipping and customer service, leaving you to focus on your message.

We are glad we could help! Our aim is to make it easy for people to create a product! What is your plan for marketing, any specific strategies or tactics that are working well for you?

My strategy is quite simple. I plan to create more of what my followers love. TeeMill’s data dashboard is so easy, even a man can understand it! I plan to create new ranges to tie in with the Men’s Football League, the Men’s Rugby Internationals, Halloween, and Christmas.

We can never say no to a new range! Talking of ranges, is there a certain product that you are excited about?

What I’m really excited about is that people are actually wearing Man Who Has It All’s message on their fronts! I love that people are buying the ‘Always be kind’ and ‘Little Boys, Big Smiles’ T-shirts for their sons. Those T-shirts carry a message from the heart and to see people wearing it for all to see puts a huge smile on my face!

With many of your products having a message behind them, what’s the ambition with your store, where do you hope it goes?

I like men to know they can become anything they want to be (from a choice of 11 types of men), including glamour boys, unicorn princes, and crazy cat gentleman. In the longer term, I’d like to see every male member of parliament wearing a ‘Boy Boss’ T-shirt. The range for women and girls is a little different. Check out the store and you’ll see why.

With Teemill being a new experience for you, how did you approach this project in terms of your values, what did you want to get out of it and what are you looking to achieve?

I wanted to create a range of empowering Men’s T-shirts and a collection of stylish and truthful T-shirts for women.

Out of all your products in your store, which are you most excited about and why?

I’m really excited about my ‘Womankind’ T-shirt. It’s great that women and men are keen to shout about the definition of the word womankind; a gender-neutral word referring to both women and men. With having the T-shirt, people can now show it as well as shout it.

What advice would you give someone in a similar position, how do they get started and spread the message effectively?

My advice is read the Teemill blogs and start. You can learn as you go along using data from TeeMill and other platforms.

If your store fits with your values and brand, you won’t go too far wrong. Teemill Pro is really easy to use and the staff is friendly, helpful and quick to reply.

Was there any part of it that’s been tricky and how did you take that in your stride and overcome it?

It has all been straightforward. The hardest bit was starting because I wanted everything to be perfect immediately. There is an art to taking your time and using Teemill is an investment and what you put in, you will get out! I soon realized that you learn as you go and with the TeeMill Pro dashboard, it’s easy to make changes quickly.

Continue being ‘The Man Who Has It All’ and good luck with those future ranges. We look forward to catching up with you again in the future and keep on spreading the word man!
