As in, it will replace TV. If you've ever got annoyed with running out of stuff to watch on Netflix, you can sort of see it happening. At the same time we all know that being seen on search engines is life or death for a brand. And even more pressing is the need to publish content on your site to make it look good. Doing videos for YouTube <strong><em>and<\/em><\/strong> <a href=\"\/blog\/?search=SEO\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SEO<\/a> <strong><em>and<\/em><\/strong> getting content to freshen up your site is triple the work. In this blog we're going to show a trick: They're all the same thing.<\/p><p><img src=\"https:\/\/images.teemill.com\/5e86069ca00a01.23982194.jpeg.jpg?w=1140&amp;h=auto\" alt=\"\" title=\"48301011\"><br><br>A lot of content platforms serve content that they think people might like, kind of like the Instagram feed. While content marketing on Instagram is a good idea - your stuff <em>might <\/em>end up in front of people with the same interests as your brand, search engines are used by people with a different intent. They're <em>actively<\/em> searching for stuff so they can find a stat, or learn something. YouTube in particular is getting more popular with the latter.<\/p><p>So content that helpfully answers questions is great for SEO and if it's video, likely to get your loads of traffic from YouTube. Many pro SEOs talk about YouTube as being the \"second biggest search engine in the world\" for this reason. To get content ideas from trending and popular topics, try using a tool like <a href=\"https:\/\/teemill.com\/blog\/tutorial-using-google-trends-to-get-way-more-traffic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Google Trends<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/teemill.com\/blog\/how-to-use-answer-the-public\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Answer the Public<\/a>.<\/p><p>Another consideration is how this will fill out your store a bit more, and how algorithms can data in our databases to dynamically deliver content to visitors based on their preferences. For example using the dynamic content blog on say, a homepage, our AI can show visitors just <strong><em>new <\/em><\/strong>blogs they <strong><em>haven't read <\/em><\/strong>relating to <strong><em>a category<\/em><\/strong>. You can use content you upload to do clever stuff... but only if you publish the content.<\/p><blockquote><p>So how to do all of this, really really easily? <strong>Make a video and publish the transcription as a blog, and embed the video in it.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote><p>By transcribing and posting the content in the video, plus the video in the blog, we can achieve multiple goals.<\/p><ul><li><p>1. Have great content for searchers on YouTube, or subscribers to find and watch.<\/p><\/li><li><p>2. Have keyword-rich pages published online for Google to find and serve as pages.<\/p><\/li><li><p>3. Have relevant content payloads stored in our database of blogs for our algorithms to deliver dynamically.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>This means after we record a great video, it makes sense to put it in a blog, along with a transcription of the video content.<\/p><p>Making a video is as simple as turning your smartphone on to camera mode and giving it a go. These days the production value doesn't need to be all studio quality. Your subscribers will follow you because you're real. It's about you and what you think, not what you're shooting the vid with.<\/p><h3>How to get the YT video transcription.<\/h3><ul><li><p>Load the video and click view transcript, and toggle off the timestamps. Select all. Alternatively, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dvdvideosoft.com\/free-youtube-subtitles-download\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this tool can do transcripts <\/a>for you.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Then remove timestamps, and to remove the line breaks and paragraphs use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.textfixer.com\/tools\/remove-line-breaks.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">This tool.<\/a><\/p><\/li><li><p>To strip formatting, paste that into notepad<\/p><\/li><li><p>then copy and paste from notepad into the blog.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>After that, you will be faced with a wall of text. It will need editing to be readable and helpful. Here's an example that shows why it's not a good idea just to paste it into the blog. Full stops will need to be added, and the conversational parts taken away to leave only high quality factual content.
