Read on.","content":"<p>You've probably heard us say time and time again, that to build a successful brand you need to work hard. Not to contradict ourselves here, but it's not <em>just<\/em> about working hard. The most successful Teemillers have figured out how working smarter means that they don't need to work (quite) as hard. Want to know more? Read on.<\/p><p><img src=\"https:\/\/images.teemill.com\/5da052b7220305.74244981.jpeg.jpg?w=1140&amp;h=auto\" alt=\"\" title=\"39058672\"><\/p><h3>1. Plan ahead using Masterplan.<br><\/h3><p>Our first tip for Teemillers is to plan ahead. Much like forgetting your mate's birthday and frantically digging out the bottle of wine you've had lurking in the cupboard and trying in vain to remember if they gifted it to you originally, leaving things to the last minute won't do you any favours. If you plan ahead, the work you're doing is pretty much guaranteed to be better, and you won't be stressing out over your next social post.<\/p><p>You'll be pleased to know that we've made planning ahead super easy. We\u2019ve got a rad lil\u2019 feature called <a href=\"https:\/\/teemill.com\/masterplan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Masterplan<\/a>. This, Teemillers, is your secret weapon for world domination. We\u2019re talking cat stroking while turning in a chair, evil cackle, \"we meet again Mr Bond\" and Dr Evil\u2019s pinky, level of master planning. Recycle the content that you're using.<br><\/strong><\/h3><p>Say you\u2019ve just written the perfect caption for your next social post. It\u2019s taken you an hour to write but it was absolutely worth it because, like we said, it is perfect. But come tomorrow when you send out a new post, all the hard work that went into that perfect social post is forgotten by your followers. What a waste. Enter the salvation to your sadness: recycling.<\/p><blockquote><p>If you spend a little time to make what you're writing amazing, you've save time later because you can reuse it again and again and again.<\/p><\/blockquote><p><img src=\"https:\/\/images.teemill.com\/5da5911add39c2.40842902.jpeg.jpg?w=1140&amp;h=auto\" alt=\"\" title=\"39232661\"><\/p><p><a href=\"\/blog\/?search=descriptions\">Product descriptions<\/a> are seriously underrated, but they're the number one content to recycle. For example, if you're about to launch a new product and put in the effort to make your product description amazing, every time you talk about the product you can use the same text. Whether it's on your socials, newsletter or in a blog post, if your product description is good enough, you'll be able to lift those words and plonk them straight in wherever you need them. If your product description is just kinda ok to start with, then you'll find yourself losing the plot rewriting and rewriting your content every time and putting in 10 times the total effort.<\/p><p>For some quick tips to get started with product descriptions, have a quick watch below:<br><\/p><div class=\"youtube\"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uPESG78gjSA\/?modestbranding=1&amp;rel=0&amp;controls=0&amp;showinfo=0&amp;vq=highres\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/div><h3><strong><br>3. Make your content timeless.<br><\/strong><\/h3><p>If you want to work <em>even smarter,<\/em> make the words you're writing timeless. Or to put it another way, don't make them time-specific.<\/p><p>For example, you might want to say:<\/p><p><em>\"This week, we decided that it was time to create a rad new t-shirt. It's inspired by the beach clean that we did in July, with the sunset design reflecting our favourite sunsets this summer. Take the summer with you into autumn with this new tee\".<\/em><\/p><p><img src=\"https:\/\/images.teemill.com\/5da054bf279113.79521698.jpeg.jpg?w=1140&amp;h=auto\" alt=\"\" title=\"39058943\"><\/p><p>But if you want to work smarter and not harder, try making it timeless. That way, you can post it now, in a few weeks or in a few months without needing to change it. Something like this:<\/p><p><em>\"This rad t-shirt is inspired by the beach cleans that our team have taken part in. The sunset design reflects some of the best sunsets we've ever seen. Take the summer with you all year in this tee\".<\/em><\/p><h3><strong>4. Schedule ahead, stay in bed.<br><\/strong><\/h3><p>Although in our opinion Teemilling is obvs the most fun thing to do ever, we appreciate that all Teemillers (us included) want a bit of me-time. For our next tip on working smarter, we'd like you to meet Tom. Tom loves his weekends, spending his Saturdays skateboarding and his Sundays lying in with his cat Ron. But Tom works in marketing, which means he manages the Teemill socials, especially at peak times like on the weekend.<\/p><p><img src=\"https:\/\/images.teemill.com\/5da05399474907.00094707.jpeg.jpg?w=1140&amp;h=auto\" alt=\"\" title=\"39058819\"><\/p><p>Tom's top tip for Teemillers: Use a social post scheduler. A scheduler like <a href=\"https:\/\/later.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Later<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/hootsuite.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hootsuite<\/a> lets you draft all your social content days, weeks and months ahead of time. If you've already planned your content in Masterplan, all you need to do is spend 30 mins once a week loading your posts into a scheduler, and setting the posting day and time for the week ahead. For Tom, using a scheduler means that he can post content 24\/7, whilst still getting a bit of Tom -time.<\/p><h3><strong>5.
