High profile people with popular platforms can amplify our message about helping brands end waste; one of them is the multi-talented comedian, actor, writer and podcaster Joe Wilkinson, who recently visited our Freshwater factory on the Isle of Wight.\u00a0<\/p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GglxtZ828kA\/?modestbranding=1&amp;rel=0&amp;controls=0&amp;showinfo=0&amp;vq=highres\" height=\"350\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><p>Joe\u2019s hugely successful podcast, <a href=\"https:\/\/pod.link\/1560965008\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chatabix<\/a> - which he co-hosts with fellow comedian and screenwriter David Earl - has its own <u><a href=\"https:\/\/chatabix-shop.teemill.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Teemill store<\/a><\/u> that gives fans a chance to wear their support for their favourite, to quote Joe, \u201cvery silly podcast\u201d. While he was visiting, we persuaded Joe (with guidance from our team, of course) to print some Chatabix t-shirts with his own hands and learn exactly how our circular process works. (Spoiler: it didn\u2019t take much persuading.)\u00a0<\/p><blockquote><p><em>\u201cIt was brilliant to see how it all works. I have to admit I got a bit over excited when I saw our t-shirt coming out. I was a bit giddy!\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote><p>The Chatabix store features tees and totes sporting the podcast logo and another that represents its listeners: Chatabiscuits. And although he loves the circular story of his Teemill merch (we have it on good authority that Joe\u2019s own current favourite tee is our \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/rapanuiclothing.com\/product\/men-s-this-t-shirt-is-rubbish\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this t-shirt is rubbish<\/a>\u2019 Remill design), it was his partner who discovered our platform. \u201cI can\u2019t take any of the credit, my other half, Petra, did all the research. She was very interested in the <a href=\"\/blog\/?search=sustainability\">sustainability<\/a> side and you guys were the ones that made the most sense.\u201d\u00a0<\/p><p><br>As you can see in our video (bottom), Joe got completely stuck into his t-shirt printing experience, grinning from ear-to-ear at every stage of the process. \u201cI found the whole thing really interesting. Everyone I met was really up for getting involved, which seems quite unusual. The factory work I did as a teenager wasn\u2019t like that. [It was] very different - you seem to be happy!\u201d\u00a0<\/p><p><img src=\"https:\/\/images.teemill.com\/zwgxjtvypf4meaxwq5sgqy4r7f3t8f3rx6adtzvf3qdrqzjm.jpeg.jpg?w=1140&amp;h=auto\" alt=\"\" title=\"102594889\"><br><em>- Joe wearing his '<a href=\"https:\/\/rapanuiclothing.com\/product\/men-s-this-t-shirt-is-rubbish\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this t-shirt is rubbish<\/a>' Remill tee<\/em><\/p><p>Joe and David initially weren\u2019t sure that anyone would want to wear a t-shirt with their podcast logo on it, but, with help from a talented designer called Kenny, they are really popular. \u201cPeople seem to like them so we keep printing them. Or rather, <em>you<\/em> keep printing them.\u201d Having a small range of merch that fans can wear helps the Chatabix guys interact with their audience (their <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/chatabix1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Twitter feed<\/a> is full of Chatabiscuits wearing their tees) and in turn, their t-shirts and totes help us to let more people know about that our organic cotton Teemill products are made to be remade.<\/p><blockquote><p><em>\u201cI\u2019ve met quite a few people who have come up to me wearing a t-shirt and it blows my mind. It\u2019s amazing. But not quite as amazing as seeing them being printed.
